One “t” short of perfection!

If you are looking at this page you have just witnessed my sorry attempt to reach the most ultimate scale of computer nerdom. There was only one thing standing in my way. I had yet to create my own website. When I realized this must be my next endeavor I immediately began to think through possibilities for my domain. To nobody’s surprise, all of the ones I came up with were taken. I had to settle for a variation of a nickname that I had in high school. Most of the people I played sports with in high school call me “dmac.” I guess it was easier than saying my whole name and thus it stuck. One day I was in a heated conversation and the wheels of witticism began to church and out came, “don’t make me bust out the dmac attack on you.” Ok, so it was more corny than witty, but at the time it seemed like the cool thing to say. Anyways, dmacattack.com was the only thing that I could come up with that wasn’t taken. I went to godaddy.com , filled out all the information, and clicked “Submit.” The next day I was browsing through my Godaddy account and decided to check out my list of purchased domains. Shortly after I clicked the link I realized that I had a fifty fifty chance of being a complete and total idiot. On my list of purchased domains was “dmacatack.com”, which was one “t” short of perfection. This could only mean one of two things. One, I could have typed it in and Godaddy.com gave me the closest match for what I typed in and I just purchased without noticing the lack of “t”. Or two, I typoed my own domain. I would quickly settle this by going back to godaddy to type it in again. I typed in “dmacattack.com” and clicked search. GEEEEEZ, I’m an idiot. There and front of me was dmacattack.com and it was as available as ever. At this point I realized that my attempt to reach the most ultimate scale of computer nerdom would be dampened by a typo. After all, who would ever go to gogle.com or yaho.com?
